Code of Ethics and Reporting Violations
Ever wonder the difference between a licensed agent & a REALTOR®? A REALTOR® voluntarialy belongs to a local, state & national association and subscribes to a strict Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics requires that REALTORS® pledge themselves to serve all parties in real estate transactions honestly, ensuring that the highest level of professional conduct is served in the interest of their clients and customers. It is mandatroy for all REALTORS® to complete an updated NAR Code of Ethics training every two years.
Northwest Indiana Real Estate Professionals value the opportunity to hold membership in the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS® in order to conduct their business successfully, ethically and cooperatively with other professionals in the industry.
REALTORS® are required to abide by a strict Code of Ethics in all their business dealings as REALTORS®. The Professional Standards department is responsible for administering the enforcement of the REALTORS® Code of Ethics among our membership.
